Job summary

Firmus Technologies seeks a Principal Engineer, Platform to own the platform architecture and release processes across public cloud and on‑prem data centres. The role focuses on scalable, secure, cost‑aware design across sites, with leadership in architecture reviews and cross‑team collaboration to enable growth to hundreds of thousands of GPUs in AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent practica

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the engineering platform and its multi-site management plane across public cloud and on‑premises.
• Build and evolve self‑service with an API‑first design and a single platform API.
• Set SLOs and incident response practices, enforce security controls, and cost governance.
• Lead design reviews, document architectural decisions, and resolve disputes across teams.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, network and site-delivery leaders to prepare the platform for new regions and data centres.
