Perfetto Pty Ltd trading as Perfetto Concrete in Maroubra, Sydney NSW, is seeking a dedicated Solid Plasterer to join a dynamic team. You will prepare surfaces, mix and apply cement or plaster coats, and create smooth or decorative finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

The role involves measuring and cutting plasterboards, applying coatings, and assisting with Apprentice training, with OH&S compliance and a strong focus on quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina and ability to lift and stand for long periods.
• Attention to detail to identify defects in plasterwork.
• Experience preparing surfaces with undercoats and bonding agents.
• Ability to mix plaster ingredients to the right consistency.
• Knowledge of safety procedures on site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply cement or plaster coats.
• Create smooth or decorative plaster finishes on buildings.
• Measure, cut and fit plasterboards for installations.
• Apply coatings to interior and exterior structures.
• Install plastering materials and render fittings.
• Involve in training Apprentices and OH&S compliance.
• Complete other duties as required.

Full-time Solid Plasterer position available with competitive salary. Work in a dynamic team in Maroubra, Sydney NSW 2035.

About the role

On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a dedicated, self-driven and highly organized Solid Plasterer to be part of their growing team. As a Solid Plasterer , you are responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing and applying cement or plaster coats, and creating smooth or decorative finishes on buildings

• Measuring and cutting plasterboards for pre installations.
• To apply fillings, varnishes, stains, vinyl and to walls and structures
• To select and prepare adhesive mixtures;
• Lifting and positioning panels and securing to walls and ceilings
• Preparing corner fittings such as measuring and cutting
• Applying coatings of plaster and cement to exterior and interior structure
• Installing fireproofing materials such as plaster, plastic cement and others
• Mixing and applying plaster coats and render structure fittings
• Apply finishing coats and creating textures for decoration
• Involve with the hiring and training of Apprentices
• Compliance with OH&S guidelines;
• To complete other duties as required

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify and repair imperfections or defects in plasterwork.
• Experience in preparing surfaces by cleaning, patching and applying undercoats or bonding agents.
• Ability to mix plaster ingredients to the appropriate consistency and texture.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications needed:

• Minimum Certificate level or equivalent relevant work experience
• Minimum one year of work experience on relevant position

Salary:

The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000-$105,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
