Job summary

The Rix Group in Sydney NSW is seeking permanent full-time Solid Plasterers for ongoing projects. You will mix, render, and finish plaster, performing thickness tests and decorative finishes to a high standard.

3 years of plastering experience and a White Card are required, with AQF Certificate III highly desirable. A driver’s licence and transport are preferred, and pass of pre-employment medical examinations is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant work experience in solid plastering.
• AQF Certificate III in Solid Plastering – highly desirable.
• Demonstrate a strong safety culture and awareness.
• Hold a nationally accredited OHS Card (White Card post 2008) or eligible to apply for one.
• Full driver’s licence - desirable
• Own transport- desirable
• Team player
• Candidates must also pass project specific pre-employment medical examinations, including a drug and alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thickness
• Install pre-cast panel mouldings and other plaster fittings
• Levelling and screeding
• Conduct thickness tests on membranes to ensure proper thickness and results after curing
• Rendering Concrete reinforcement, preparation, and replacement
• Providing a variety of rendering services to clients including internal, external and finishes
• Concrete Mouldings, Sand, Cement & Lime Finishes
• Finishing of cement render by steel trowel, wood float and sponge
• Decorative finishes, carving, and coloring

The Role In line with the continued expansion of our business, we are currently recruiting permanent full-time Solid Plasterers for our ongoing projects in Sydney NSW.

• From $70,000 - $95,000 annually
