Job summary

Boral Narangba Quarry is seeking a Plant Operator to join our team in Narangba, north of Brisbane, on a permanent full-time basis. You will operate the mobile and fixed plant, contribute to safe operations, and learn the quarry trade with support from experienced teammates.

Your day includes operating dump trucks and loaders, running the crushing plant, basic maintenance, and engaging in problem solving while following safety protocols and pre-starts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mobile plant is essential or trainable.
• Team oriented with safety and quality in mind.
• Willingness to work Monday to Saturday.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump haul trucks, front-end loaders and other quarry mobile plant safely.
• Run the crushing plant safely.
• Perform basic maintenance and keep plant/work area tidy.
• Contribute to problem solving and process improvements.
• Participate in safety routines, pre-starts, toolbox talks and incident reporting.

Job description

We are looking for a Plant Operator to join our team at Narangba Quarry, north of Brisbane. This is a permanent, full-time role operating the mobile and fixed plant that keeps the site producing and doing it safely every shift. If you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in looking after your gear and want to learn the quarry trade properly, we would like to hear from you.

Your day will involve

• Operating our dump haul truck, front‑end loader and other quarry mobile plant safely
• Running the crushing plant safely
• Basic maintenance and keeping your plant and work area in good order
• Getting involved in problem solving and finding better ways to do the job
• Taking part in our safety routines, including pre‑starts, toolbox talks and incident reporting

What are we looking for?

• Experience operating mobile plant (front‑end loader is a plus, but we can teach you)
• An HR truck licence is handy, though not essential
• Quarry experience is well regarded, though not essential
• Self‑motivated, with safety and quality front of mind
• Someone who works well in a team and can get on with the job with minimal supervision
• Available to work Monday to Saturday
