Job summary

South Burnett Regional Council based in Kingaroy is seeking a Plant Operator for permanent, full-time work. You will provide specialist operation of a roller and other plant, perform maintenance and service, and support traffic control plans on road projects.

The role requires experience with mobile plant in civil construction and knowledge of road construction techniques. The position offers a 9-day fortnight roster, salary between $67,000 and $69,000 per year plus allowances and super, and

• Current C Class driver’s licence.
• General Safety Induction for Construction Worker Certification (White Card)

About the role

Permanent - Full Time

$67K - $69K per annum + Allowances + Super

Council is seeking a plant operator to provide quality specialist operation of Councils roller and other plant/equipment. This position will also perform the maintenance and service of plant and undertake traffic control, implement traffic control plans and perform labouring duties as required. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in the effective operation of mobile plant within construction/maintenance environment together with knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques and the ability to achieve quarry, construction and maintenance standards.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Certificate of Competency in Road Roller Operations
• Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence
• General Safety Induction for Construction Worker Certification (White Card)

Desirable Qualifications

• Truck Licences and other plant tickets/certifications
• Traffic Control
• Certificate III in Civil Construction

Skills and experience
