Job summary

The City of Gold Coast is hiring multiple experienced Plant Operators to join our civil construction and maintenance teams. You will operate excavators and other heavy plant to deliver our works program across construction, earthworks, road, drainage and maintenance projects.

We require safety-focused individuals with a Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations or relevant experience, plus Excavator LE competence and an HR Licence.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations or relevant experience.
• Excavator LE competency/licence.
• HR Heavy Rigid Driver Licence.
• General Construction Induction (White Card).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators and other heavy plant in accordance with licences, procedures and competency standards.
• Undertake civil construction, earthworks, maintenance activities and manual labouring duties as required.
• Transport and coordinate plant and equipment between work sites.
• Identify hazards, report equipment issues and maintain plant in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Complete pre-starts, risk assessments, equipment logs and incident reports.
• Work effectively with Council staff, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, productivity and customer service.
• Participate in Toolbox meetings, training and multi-skilling activities.

• $2,655.98 per fortnight excluding applicable allowances + superannuation

About The Role
