  • Install signage and roadside furniture as required.
  • Complete daily plant checks, timesheets and documentation.
  • Undertake other duties and training as directed.

Programmed Maintenance Services - Holbrook NSW

Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Plant Operator for an opportunity based in Holbrook, NSW.

This role will involve operating a range of plant and equipment to support the construction, maintenance and operation of Council infrastructure, including road construction and maintenance activities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Road Construction Ganger, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating Council plant and equipment as directed across various projects.
  • Assisting with the construction and maintenance of roads, pavements and Council infrastructure.
  • Completing daily plant inspections, servicing and routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer requirements and Council procedures.
  • Operating plant and equipment safely and in accordance with relevant statutory requirements.
  • Assisting with traffic control and maintaining safe traffic flow around work sites.
  • Installing signage and roadside furniture where required.
  • Completing daily plant checks, timesheets and other required documentation.
  • Undertaking other duties and training as directed.

To be considered for this position, you will require:

  • Current WorkCover Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card).
  • Current HR Driver Licence.
  • Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • A basic understanding of road construction plant and equipment.
Desirable Skills and Experience

Candidates with plant tickets and demonstrated experience operating the following equipment will be highly regarded:

  • Backhoe
  • Loader
  • Excavator

Experience in road construction, road maintenance, operating plant and equipment, and working around live traffic environments will also be highly regarded.

This is a hands‑on outdoor role that may involve working in a range of weather conditions and environments. The role includes regular physical activity, operating machinery and equipment, and working across various sites within the Council area.
