Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a reliable Leading Hand Plant Operator to join the Southern Construction Team. You'll operate plant and light trucks, supervise up to two staff, and support maintenance and construction across roads, drainage, footpaths, parks, and recreation facilities.

Reporting to the Southern Drainage and Structures Supervisor, you will follow safety and paperwork routines, work Mon-Fri with a 9-day fortnight, and be on-call with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' civil construction or maintenance experience.
• Current NSW MR Driver's Licence.
• TfNSW Traffic Control training or willingness to obtain.
• Right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain medium/heavy plant as required.
• Supervise up to two staff and support projects.
• Complete timesheets and safety checklists.
• Respond to emergencies and call-backs.
