Job summary

Flinders Shire Council are seeking experienced plant operators to join our team. In this role you’ll:

• Operate a range of plant and machinery to support road construction and maintenance projects across the Flinders Shire.
• Play a hands‑on role in building and maintaining essential infrastructure, including roadworks, signage installation, guideposts, trenching and site preparation.
• Contribute to a diverse range of operational projects across Engineering Services, with opportunities to work across multiple teams.
• Conduct daily plant inspections, complete safety checks and work closely with the workshop team to ensure equipment is well maintained and ready for action.
• Work alongside a supportive crew, sharing skills and knowledge while delivering quality outcomes.
• Help keep worksites safe, efficient and compliant through accurate record keeping and adherence to workplace health and safety practices.
• Be part of delivering projects that directly improve connectivity, safety and liveability across the region.
