Job summary

Carrathool Shire Council is seeking a capable maintenance worker to support the upkeep and safety of our roads and bridges. You will operate and maintain plant and equipment and undertake road repairs to provide safe infrastructure for the community.

The role requires a White Card, ability to work unsupervised in a team, and a solid understanding of traffic control and public safety procedures. You will join a practical, down-to-earth team serving rural NSW.

Qualifications

• General Induction for Construction certificate (Whitecard)
• Experience in maintenance labouring and/or civil construction activities
• Ability to operate and maintain plant such as tractors, rollers, backhoes, trucks and attachments
• Understanding of traffic control and public safety procedures
• Awareness of workplace safety and ability to work in a team environment
