Heat and Control Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Plant Layout Design Drafter at our Brisbane facility. The role focuses on delivering high-quality sales layout drawings using AutoCAD, with 3D drafting preferred, and supporting the sales team with technically sound drawings that reflect quoted offerings.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years in mechanical engineering drafting, strong collaboration with engineering and sales, and a focus on safe, efficient layouts within customer environments.

Qualificações

• 1-3 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering drafting.
• AutoCAD drafting skill; 3D drafting experience would be highly regarded.
• Display integrity, honesty and genuine enthusiasm in supporting the sales team.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other team members and stakeholders to achieve team goals.

Responsabilidades

• Produce a sales layout drawing that clearly represents our quoted offering.
• Consider equipment function relative to customer’s factory environment (pedestrian access, clearance, hazards).
• Initiate continuous improvement activities to assist the team in achieving goals.
• Provide engineering support upon request and ensure quality/manufacturing standards are met.

Due to continued growth, we have another great opportunity for an experienced Plant Layout Design Drafter.This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a global OEM, and to learn from the best in the industry.

This role's primary objective is to provide high quality, technically sound sales layout drawings in a timely and efficient manner and to provide engineering support upon request, ensuring quality and manufacturing standards are met.

Some of the expectations ofthis role will include:

Work closely with the Sales Engineer/Estimator to efficiently produce a sales layout drawing that clearly and factually represents our quoted offering.

Consideration in design to equipment function in relation to the customer’s factory environment. For example, pedestrian access, clearance of obstacles/hazards etc.

Initiate continuous improvement activities to assist the team achieve its goals.

To be successful in this role you must also possess the following skills and abilities:

1-3 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering drafting.

AutoCAD drafting skill particularly in the development of conceptual equipment layouts. 3D drafting experience would be highly regarded.

Display integrity, honesty and genuine enthusiasm in supporting the sales team.

Ability to work cooperativelywith other team members and company wide stakeholders to achieve team goals and maintain a harmonious team environment.
