Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is partnering with a well-established engineering and building design consultancy to recruit an Approvals & Permits Officer to join their Sydney team. You will coordinate planning, approval and permit processes across building projects, liaising with consultants, architects and engineers to ensure timely lodgments and accurate submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating DA applications and the planning approvals process.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Autonomous and takes ownership of workload.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and lodging Development Applications and managing them throughout the approval process.
• Preparing documentation to support planning applications, including Statements of Environmental Effects and Waste Management Plans.
• Coordinating the information and reports required for submissions.
• Working closely with consultants, architects and civil engineers & surveyors.
• Acting as a key link between building designers, engineers and external consultants during the design and approvals process.
• Following up on outstanding information and ensuring applications progress within required timeframes.
• Reviewing documentation to ensure submissions are accurate, complete and ready for lodgments.
