Job summary

InfraBuild Reinforcing, part of GFG Alliance, seeks a Production Planner based at our Canberra site. You will coordinate and monitor production planning, balance priorities with scheduling teams and ensure timely, safe delivery to customers.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will work with engineers, customers and production staff to optimise capacity and respond quickly to changing requirements, while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning, scheduling or related environment.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production work across machines in line with customer requirements and capacity.
• Manage and allocate orders for production, adjusting daily runs as priorities change.
• Provide clear updates on scheduling commitments at meetings.
• Deliver high levels of service and support to customers.
• Coordinate fleet requirements and delivery plans for timely dispatch.
• Collaborate with sales, warehouse and transport teams to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate driver movements to improve efficiency and reduce yard delays.

Reporting to the Branch Manager and based out of our Canberra site, you will coordinate and monitor production planning across the branch. You will manage the flow of incoming work, allocate orders across available machine capacity and ensure production requirements are completed safely, accurately and within customer timeframes.

Working closely with scheduling teams, engineers, customers and production personnel, you will balance priorities, respond to changing requirements and elevate production risks early to support reliable delivery and strong customer service.

What you will be doing:

• Plan and coordinate production work across machines in line with customer requirements and production capacity
• Manage and allocate orders for production, adjusting daily production runs as priorities change
• Provide clear updates on scheduling commitments at production and planning meetings
• Deliver a high level of service and support to customers
• Coordinate fleet requirements and delivery plans to ensure accurate and timely dispatch
• Work closely with sales, warehouse teams and transport providers to manage customer requirements
• Coordinate driver movements and waiting times to improve efficiency and minimise yard delays

Hours for this role are 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday

What you will bring:

• Experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing planning or a related environment, desirable
• Strong planning, organisational, reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify and elevate issues early
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused approach
• A Safety First mindset and commitment to quality and compliance
• Computer literacy, including confidence using MS Office and learning planning systems
