Job summary

ZIMMERMANN is seeking an experienced Planner to join our Planning team in Rosebery, Sydney. You will manage open to buy and inventory flow across markets, boosting stock availability and supporting sales and margin performance.

You will work collaboratively with Planning, Buying, Merchandising and operations to oversee pre‑season and in‑season planning, regional reporting, markdown management and stock allocation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of experience in retail planning or a similar role.
  • Commercially minded with experience working toward sales, stock, margin and gross profit targets.
  • Advanced analytical capability and confidence interpreting sales, stock, sell through and consumer buying patterns.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and retail mathematics; AP21 or similar retail system is advantageous.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, adaptable and solutions‑focused approach, with the ability to respond to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage open to buy, weekly and monthly WSSI reforecasting, and inventory flow across assigned markets.
  • Review sales, stock, sell through and category performance to identify risks, opportunities and actions that support financial targets.
  • Partner with Buying and Merchandising to develop range, allocation and replenishment plans aligned with brand and growth strategies.
  • Prepare accurate regional reporting, end of season analysis and recommendations for Management and Executive teams.
  • Lead seasonal markdown proposals, monitor performance and manage end of season stock across outlet channels.
  • Oversee allocations, consolidations and replenishment with Allocators, while mentoring the team and supporting capability development.

The Opportunity & Key Responsibilities

ZIMMERMANN is seeking an experienced Planner, to join our Planning team in Rosebery, Sydney. You will play an important role in managing open to buy and inventory flow across assigned markets, helping to increase stock availability, reduce out of stocks and markdowns, and support sales and margin performance. This opportunity is ideal if you are commercially minded, analytical and motivated by turning data into clear actions. You will enjoy working collaboratively across Planning, Buying, Merchandising and operational teams in a dynamic retail environment. As a Planner, you will oversee pre-season and in-season planning, regional reporting, markdown management and stock allocation. You will combine detailed analysis with practical execution to identify risks and opportunities, recommend strategies and contribute to the financial success of our collections.
