Job summary

Anglicare Central Queensland is seeking a compassionate Placement SupportWorker to work with foster carers, children and support services to ensure placements are stable, tailored to each child's needs and delivered with trauma-informed, person-centred care.

You will engage with carers, assess needs, and collaborate with Child Safety Services and other agencies to maintain strong working relationships while providing on-call support and identifying carer training requirements.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV level or higher in Community Services (Child Protection) with significant field experience.
• Experience working with foster carers and child protection services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with carers to support children in home and community life.
• Collaborate with Child Safety Services and community agencies to build sound relationships.
• Identify training and development needs for carers to meet children's needs.
• Provide on-call services through a scheduled roster.

You work will help buildbrighter futures by fostering strong relationships, advocating forchildren's wellbeing and delivery trauma-informed, person-centredcare that truly makes a difference.

What will a typical day look like?

• Engage with carersto support children in all aspects of life, at home and in the wider community.
• Useobservational and evaluation skills to contribute to theassessment of children and carers needs.
• Workcollaboratively with Child Safety Services, community agenciesand elders to establish and maintain sound workingrelationships.
• Provide on callservices through a scheduled roster.
• Identify carertraining and developmental needs to ensure the needs of thechildren are met.

MandatoryRequirements:

• Certificate IVlevel or higher in Community Services (Child Protection) withsignificant experience in a similar field.
