Job summary

A community support organization in Brisbane is seeking a Family Support Worker to provide non-clinical therapeutic support to individuals and families facing challenges. Qualifications

• Must have a Current QLD Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

About the Role

We're looking for a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide non-clinical therapeutic support to individuals, families and groups experiencing social, emotional and/or financial challenges.

This is a permanent Full Time role based in Inala.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting intake assessments, including risk and safety planning
• Developing and delivering family support plans and referrals
• Providing outreach services (e.g. school or home visits)
• Supporting individuals and families to develop life skills and strengthen relationships
• Liaising with child protection, youth justice and community agencies
• Maintaining accurate records, case notes and reports

Required Credentials & Experience

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Community Services or equivalent
• Current National Police Check
• Valid QLD Blue Card (Working with Children)
• Current QLD Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Strong communication, assessment and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and client databases
