Job summary

Sal's Authentic New York Pizza in Sydney is seeking an experienced hospitality manager to build and lead a strong team, while making the store its own. You will oversee daily operations and develop a high-performing front and back of house.

Ideal candidates will have restaurant management experience, strong leadership, and a hands-on, proactive approach. Flexible scheduling and commitment to food safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or hospitality management (QSR or casual dining preferred).
• Strong communication and leadership skills, you know how to motivate and build a team.
• Proven ability to manage costs, labour, and operational performance.
• Confident problem-solver with a proactive, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations including rostering, cash handling, inventory, and food safety compliance.
• Manage and track KPIs, including labour and cost of goods, ensuring results meet business targets.
• Complete reporting as required by the Regional Manager or Franchisee (COGs, labour performance, compliance, QC checklists, downtime reports).
• Lead and motivate both front and back of house teams to deliver consistently excellent customer experiences.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels, coordinate supplier orders, and ensure efficient prep for each shift.
• Train, coach, and support staff to build capability and confidence across all positions.
• Address and resolve customer feedback with professionalism and care.
• Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Foster a strong team culture through open communication, collaboration, and accountability.
