Job summary

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is seeking an experienced Piping Coordinator to join our Perth-based team, primarily at Ascot Head Office, with periodic travel to projects across Australia. Lead piping construction activities, coordinate with engineering and construction teams, and drive safe, quality project execution.

The role offers growth opportunities within a growing company, with a hands-on leadership team and a focus on delivering high-quality engineering and construction services

Qualifications

  • Piping trade background and supervisory experience are required.
  • Experience delivering piping projects in mining/mineral processing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HDPE and steel piping systems, valves and components.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics and general arrangement drawings.
  • Knowledge of current piping design and installation standards.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and project coordination capabilities.
  • Current Driver's Licence is required.
  • National Police clearance within 3 months.
  • Must pass pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor piping construction activities and project progress.
  • Review project scope, piping specifications and schedules.
  • Coordinate interfaces between engineering and construction teams.
  • Conduct material take-offs and bulk procurement management.
  • Monitor project manpower, equipment and material requirements.
  • Ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are met.
  • Identify and resolve construction and technical issues.
  • Track and report project performance against cost, schedule and quality.

About Us

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is a leading process engineering consulting and contracting company that specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Piping Coordinator to join our team based in our Ascot Head Office, reporting to the Manager of Projects.

This role is primarily based in the company’s Perth office and will require periodical visits and travel to various projects within Australia.

Working within a collaborative Team you will support a range of diverse projects, participating in the day to day organising and management of electrical construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring piping construction activities and project progress
  • Reviewing project scope, piping specifications and schedules
  • Coordinating interfaces between engineering and construction teams
  • Material take-offs and bulk procurement management
  • Monitoring project manpower, equipment and material requirements
  • Ensuring project compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards
  • Identifying and resolving construction and technical issues
  • Tracking and reporting project performance against cost, schedule and quality objectives
About You
  • Piping trade background and previous supervisory experience is highly regarded
  • Experience delivering piping projects within mining or mineral processing environments
  • Strong knowledge of HDPE and steel piping systems, valves and associated components
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics and general arrangement drawings
  • Knowledge of current piping design and installation standards
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and project coordination capabilities
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current National Police clearance within 3 months
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screen
