Job summary

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Boilermaker or Welder (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade) or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and welding procedures.
• Demonstrated experience in industrial or construction environments, ideally in mining, gas, or heavy industry projects.
• Commitment to safe work practices, including use of PPE and compliance with site safety systems.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team, follow instructions, and meet project deadlines.
• Current relevant tickets and licenses (e.g., confined space, working at heights) are highly desirable.

Role Description This is a full-time & Casual, on-site Pipe Welder & Boilermaker role based in Gladstone, QLD. The role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing piping systems, structural components, and associated supports in line with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing various welding processes on pipes and structural steel, preparing materials, interpreting engineering drawings and isometric sketches, and carrying out fitting and boiler-making duties. The position requires adherence to safety procedures, participation in toolbox talks, inspection and testing of welds for quality compliance, and collaboration with supervisors and site teams to meet project schedules.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong welding skills, including Welding, Arc Welding, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding.
• Candidates should possess sound knowledge of Materials relevant to piping and structural fabrication.
• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Welder (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade) or equivalent.
