Job summary

Pructon in Gladstone, QLD is seeking a skilled Pipe Welder & Boilermaker for on-site work on multi-discipline projects. You will fabricate, assemble and install piping systems and structural components in line with drawings and standards.

The role requires welding across processes (MIG, TIG, Arc), reading isometrics, and a focus on safety, with toolbox talks, weld inspection, and collaboration with site teams to keep schedules.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Boilermaker or Welder (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade) or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and welding procedures.
• Demonstrated experience in industrial or construction environments, ideally in mining, gas, or heavy industry projects.
• Commitment to safe work practices, including use of PPE and compliance with site safety systems.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team, follow instructions, and meet project deadlines.
• Current relevant tickets and licenses (e.g., confined space, working at heights) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems and structural components per drawings.
• Perform welding on pipes and structural steel using multiple processes.
• Prepare materials and interpret engineering drawings and isometrics.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in toolbox talks.
