Job summary

Pructon is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder for our Gladstone-based workshop. You will weld carbon steel pipework to AS4041 and B31.3, and stainless steel pipework to 1554.6 standards, using GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding. You’ll operate around pipe racks and contribute to local-site projects.

Ideal candidates hold a trade certificate, proven carbon and stainless steel welding experience, and strong teamwork and communication skills. EWP and forklift certs are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or equivalent qualification in welding.
• Proven experience welding carbon steel pipework.
• Experience welding stainless steel pipework in schedule contexts.
• EWP certifications and forklift certifications preferred but not essential.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Weld carbon pipework to AS4041 and B31.3 standards.
• Weld stainless steel schedule 10 pipework to AS4041 and 1554.6 standards.

• Experience working in and around local sites.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Trade certificate.
• Proven experience in welding carbon steel pipework.
• Proven experience in welding Schedule 10 stainless steel pipework.
• EWP certification (preferred but not essential).
• Forklift certification (preferred but not essential).
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
