Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking motivated Pick Packers to join our day shift team at our Moorebank distribution facility. This fast-paced role involves hand picking stock within very narrow warehouse aisles on a 7:30am–3:30pm schedule, Monday to Friday, with no forklift licence required to start.

You'll work as part of a large team, aiming to meet clear daily targets, using RF scanners to process picks and maintain high accuracy.

About the Company

One of Australia's leading retailers is seeking motivated Pick Packers to join the day shift team at our modern Moorebank distribution facility. This is a fast-paced, hands‑on warehouse role focused on hand picking stock within very narrow warehouse aisles. You'll work as part of a large distribution team where accuracy, consistency and productivity are recognised and rewarded.

About the Role

This day shift role operates from 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

As a Pick Packer, your primary responsibility will be hand picking customer and store orders from stock located throughout our very narrow aisle picking areas.

This is not a forklift‑based picking position and no forklift licence is required to start. Previous warehouse or pick packing experience is advantageous, but we are also open to reliable candidates with the right attitude, work ethic and ability to perform in a target-driven environment.

For employees looking to develop their warehouse career, there is also the opportunity to progress into forklift operating roles once you have obtained the appropriate licence and demonstrated the required level of safe and competent driving skills.

Performance & Progression

Our warehouse operates under a structured, performance-based progression system. As your experience, consistency and daily picking performance improve, you can progress through the different warehouse levels.

Daily pick averages generally align with the following benchmarks:

• Level 1: Entrant: 140-200 picks per day
• Level 2: 201-299 picks per day
• Level 3: 300-349 picks per day
• Level 4: 350+ picks per day
• Casual: 250+ picks per day

Performance and progression are reviewed based on your ability to consistently achieve picking targets while maintaining accuracy, attendance and safe work practices.

Career pathways extend beyond hand picking. Team members who obtain the relevant forklift licence and demonstrate the required level of safe and competent driving ability may be considered for progression into forklift operator roles, providing an opportunity to develop additional skills and continue building their warehouse career.

High performers may also have opportunities to progress into senior operator or team leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Hand pick customer and store orders within very narrow warehouse aisles
• Accurately locate and pick stock against assigned orders
• Work towards daily picking targets and warehouse KPIs
• Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to process picks accurately
• Complete manual handling tasks, including lifting items up to 20kg
• Maintain a high level of picking accuracy while working at pace
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and operational requirements
• Keep picking areas clean, organised and free from hazards
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily targets
• Assist with other general warehouse duties where required

Skills and Experience

• Previous pick packing, warehousing or distribution experience advantageous
• No forklift or LO licence required to commence
• Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems advantageous
• Comfortable working and hand picking within very narrow warehouse aisles
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to picking accuracy
• Physically capable of repetitive picking and manual handling throughout the shift
• Reliable, punctual and committed to consistent attendance
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn, improve and develop new skills
• Must have full Australian working rights
