Job summary

UnitingCare Health Pty Ltd. is seeking a physiotherapist to work with Blue Care on the Gold Coast in a community-based setting. The role offers permanent full-time or part-time hours (minimum 3 days per week) and a supportive Not-for-Profit salary packaging environment.

Responsibilities include developing treatment programs, coordinating care with GPs and therapists, and educating clients and carers to improve movement, reduce pain and enhance safety in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and full, unrestricted AHPRA registration are essential.
• Experience in aged care or community settings is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence is essential.
• Vehicle that is roadworthy and insured is required for work.

• Prescribe and select adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
• Educate and train carers, clients and residents on therapy aspects.
• Set goals, support reablement and discharge planning.

• Employment Term: Permanent Full Time or Part Time (minimum 3 days per week) Monday to Friday
• Location: Servicing clients across the Gold Coast outreaching from sites at Coomera - Arundel - Elanora
• Remuneration: $42.15 to $59.04 p/hr (dependent on experience) + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances
• Classification: PO2.1 to PO3.3 - determined by demonstrated experience

You'll Have The Opportunity To Develop Treatment Programs, Helping Clients And Residents To Manage Their Movement, Pain, Balance And Manual Handling. This Will Include

• Diagnosing, assessing and developing care plans for individuals and groups
• Prescription and selection of appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive technology
• Education and training on aspects of therapy for carers, clients and residents
• Goal setting activities, as well reablement and discharge planning
• Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to ensure care plans are coordinated and monitored

• Tertiary Qualifications and full, unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements - Essential
• Previous experience within an Aged Care or Community setting
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
• Confidence in managing your time effectively, including an ability to work autonomously.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
