Job summary

BlueCare, part of the UnitingCare Health family, is seeking a Physiotherapist to support our Gold Coast community sites. You will diagnose and treat movement limitations, manage pain and balance, and contribute to discharge planning with a patient-centred approach.

Essential are AHPRA registration, a current Australian driver’s licence, and experience in aged care or community settings. You will work across sites in Coomera, Arundel and Elanora with a focus on high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and AHPRA registration are essential.
• Experience in aged care or community settings is required.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
• Current Australian driver's licence and a roadworthy vehicle for work.
• Willingness to satisfy probity checks as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, assess and develop care plans for individuals and groups.
• Prescribe and select appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
• Educate and train carers, clients and residents on therapy aspects.
• Set goals and contribute to reablement and discharge planning.
• Liaise with GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to coordinate care plans.

Physiotherapist | Blue Care | Gold Coast Allied Health |Community Based

• Employment Term:Permanent Full Time or Part Time (minimum 3 days per week) Monday to Friday
• Location:Servicing clients across the Gold Coast outreaching from sites at Coomera - Arundel - Elanora
• Remuneration:$42.15 to $59.04 p/hr (dependent on experience) + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances
• Classification:PO2.1 to PO3.3 - determined by demonstrated experience

You’ll have the opportunity to develop treatment programs, helping clients and residents to manage their movement, pain, balance and manual handling. This will include:

• Diagnosing, assessing and developing care plans for individuals and groups
• Prescription and selection of appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive technology
• Education and training on aspects of therapy for carers, clients and residents
• Goal setting activities, as well reablement and discharge planning
• Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to ensure care plans are coordinated and monitored

You’ll be passionate about providing high-quality clinical treatment and therapies designed to enable your clients to maintain and improve their function. You’ll be self-motivated and driven to incorporate contemporary theory in your day-to-day activities and make a real difference to the lives of our clients and residents! You’ll present with:

• Tertiary Qualifications and full, unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements -Essential
• Previous experience within an Aged Care or Community setting
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
• Confidence in managing your time effectively, including an ability to work autonomously.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence -Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work-Essential
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
