Job summary

Northeast Health Wangaratta is seeking a communicative and results-driven pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Department on a part-time, fixed-term contract (16/11/2026 – 14/11/2027). The role is 48 hours per fortnight, with job-sharing with the incumbent Medication Safety and Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist.

You will provide education, supervise interns, and oversee medication safety initiatives, aligning with national standards while supporting a broad range of clinical pharmacist services

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacist with AHPRA or eligible for registration.

Responsibilities

• Act as pharmacy department representative on relevant committees and groups.
• Provide education to colleagues, health professionals and patients.
• Supervise intern pharmacists and pharmacy students.
• Monitor and report medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship risks.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and research.
• Participate in weekend and on-call rosters as required.
