Job summary

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is seeking a part-time pharmacist (48 hrs/fortnight) for 12 months to join our Pharmacy Department and lead medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship activities.

You will educate staff, supervise interns and students, and work on organisation-wide quality improvement projects while aligning with Standards 4 and 3 from the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.

Qualifications

• Hospitals or health service pharmacy experience.
• Experience in medication safety or antimicrobial stewardship preferred.
• Ability to supervise interns/pharmacy students and educate colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Educate colleagues, health professionals and patients.
• Supervise intern pharmacists and students.
• Monitor and report medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship risks and performance.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and research.
• Participate in weekend and on-call roster as needed after orientation.
