Job summary

Stantec in Perth, WA, is seeking a Team Leader/ Principal Bridge Engineer to lead complex bridge projects within our National Infrastructure group. The role combines technical expertise with team leadership, supporting MRWA/PTA projects and regional growth.

The successful candidate will have a Civil/Structural engineering degree, a CPEng, and extensive use of SPACEGASS, STRAND7 and MIDAS, plus familiarity with AS5100 and Austroads. WA project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering with around 10 years' experience in delivery of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Charted Professional Engineer (CPEng).
• Experience with structural analysis software SPACEGASS, STRAND7 and MIDAS.
• Familiarity with WA Structural Engineering and Bridge Branch manuals, Austroads and Australian Standards, especially AS5100.
• Previous experience on major projects (MRWA / PTA or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead design of complex bridge projects and coordinate technical documentation to meet project requirements.
• Support marketing and business development through proposals and client interactions.
• Contribute to development of new bridge and civil structures standards and specifications.
• Plan and coordinate engineering assignments across multiple projects with internal and external teams.
• Lead meetings and mentor junior team members; support contract negotiations where needed.
