Job summary

AECOM in Western Australia is seeking a Technical Lead to direct major bridge design and provide design authority across complex river crossings and freight infrastructure. The role emphasizes high-level technical review, certification, and risk management, with engagement in client meetings and industry forums.

You will mentor senior and emerging engineers, support bids and proposals, and ensure compliance with AS 5100, Austroads, MRWA and project requirements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in bridge and major infrastructure design.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia.
• Experience on Main Roads WA projects and standards is highly desirable.
• Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Lead / Design Authority for major bridge projects.
• Lead delivery of complex bridge solutions including long-span structures.
• Provide high-level technical review, design certification and risk management.
• Lead compliance with AS 5100, Austroads and project-specific requirements.
• Support bids, tenders and proposals with methodology and resourcing.
