Job summary

UPA Corporation Bhd – Holbrook NSW is seeking Personal Care Workers for casual pool at Holbrook Hostel. You’ll support residents to maintain independence and wellbeing, with shifts scheduled to match availability. This is a directly employed casual role with induction and ongoing support.

Previous aged care experience and a First Aid certificate are desirable. You’ll work with familiar residents and teams, with opportunities to move into ongoing or permanent roles when available.

UPA of NSW is building a directly employed casual team of Personal Care Workers/Care Service Employees across Oolong for Christmas, New Year and beyond.

These are direct UPA employment opportunities—not agency placements. You won’t just be another name filling a shift; you’ll be a UPA employee and part of the team from day one.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Personal Care Worker/Care Service Employee, you’ll support residents to maintain their independence, wellbeing and connection to the things they enjoy.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing respectful, person-centred care
• Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
• Assisting residents with mobility
• Supporting medication administration when appropriately trained and assessed as competent
• Working closely with nurses and other care employees
• Building positive relationships with residents and their families

YOU’LL BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or an equivalent qualification, or are actively working towards one where permitted
• Have a compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people
• Are reliable and comfortable responding to available shifts
• Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team
• Can work across a range of days and shift times

Previous residential aged-care experience and a current First Aid Certificate are desirable.
