Job summary

UPA Corporation Bhd – Howlong NSW is recruiting casual Personal Care Workers to join a directly employed team across Oolong for Christmas, New Year and beyond. You’ll provide person-centred care and support residents to maintain independence, with induction and ongoing training as part of a supportive team.

This casual role offers flexible shifts matched to availability, with opportunities for ongoing or permanent employment as vacancies arise.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or actively working towards one where permitted.
• Demonstrate a compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Personal Care Worker/Care Service Employee, you’ll support residents to maintain their independence, wellbeing and connection to the things they enjoy.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing respectful, person-centred care
• Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
• Assisting residents with mobility
• Supporting medication administration when appropriately trained and assessed as competent
• Working closely with nurses and other care employees
• Building positive relationships with residents and their families

YOU’LL BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or an equivalent qualification, or are actively working towards one where permitted
• Have a compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people
• Are reliable and comfortable responding to available shifts
• Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team
• Can work across a range of days and shift times

Previous residential aged-care experience and a current First Aid Certificate are desirable.
