Job summary

Dovida is hiring compassionate caregivers in NSW, including Harrington, Kempsey, Laurieton and nearby areas. The role offers flexible casual hours with pay from $43.42 per hour, plus travel allowances between visits.

You’ll join a friendly local team with 24/7 backup, paid training through Dovida Academies, and confidential wellbeing support for you and your family. Ideal candidates hold a current Australian driver’s licence, have a reliable car, and can travel between clients.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient care attitude.
• Ability to travel between clients in the local area.
• Hold a current Australian driver’s licence with access to a reliable car.
• Available to work at least one weekday (Mon–Fri); up to 10 hours per week depending on demand.
• Have a smartphone and laptop/tablet; willing to complete a National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation and household tasks.
• Provide transport and companionship for appointments, shopping and social activities.
• Build rapport and understand clients' life stories to bring variety and brightness to their weeks.
• Share updates on client wellbeing with Care Managers to keep support relevant.

• Support daily living by helping with personal care, meal preparation and household tasks.

• Build strong relationships with your clients by listening, learning their life stories, and bringing variety and brightness to their week.
• Share updates and observations about client wellbeing with Care Managers to keep support meaningful and relevant.

What you’ll bring

You are compassionate, patient and easy to talk to, with a real love for connecting with people from all backgrounds. You’re dependable and an open communicator, and you treat your clients the way you’d want your own family to be treated.

To thrive in this role, you will:

• Live in or near Bellingen, Forster, Harrington, Kempsey, Laurieton, Nambucca Heads and Wingham and be happy to travel between clients in your local area.
• Hold a current Australian driver’s licence, with access to a reliable car and comprehensive insurance.
• Be available to work at least one weekday (Monday to Friday). We’re looking for up to 10 hours per week, which may increase or decrease with client demand.
• Have a reliable smartphone and laptop/tablet.
• Hold valid Australian working rights and be willing to complete a National Police Check.

It’s not essential, but it would be wonderful if you also have:

• A Certificate in Individual Support (Ageing) or a related qualification.
• Lived experience caring for a family member or friend.
• A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
