Dovida in New South Wales is seeking caring individuals to join our Circle of Care, delivering daily living support to older Australians in their homes. You’ll work up to 10 hours a week with flexible scheduling and travel between visits.
You’ll bring compassion, reliability and good communication. A current Australian driver’s license, access to a car, and working rights are required, plus training through Dovida Academies and wellbeing support.
For over twenty years, Dovida has supported older Australians to live their life, their way, right where they feel most comfortable - at home.
Our Circle of Care works both ways. As you help clients and families with daily independence, you gain just as much in return: genuine relationships, new perspectives, and the deep fulfilment of knowing your work matters. With a close-knit team, opportunities to grow, and support for your life outside of work, your empathy and dedication complete the circle.
Could this be the rewarding next chapter you’ve been looking for?
At Dovida, people are at the centre of everything we do. We believe great care starts with supporting those who provide it, so we focus on creating a workplace where you feel trusted, valued and backed from day one. You’ll be part of a team that appreciates your efforts and celebrates the difference you make.
$43.42+ per hour depending on certificates, plus paid travel allowances between visits.
Flexible work schedules that fit around your family, studies or personal life.
A friendly local office team in your corner with 24/7 backup whenever you need support.
Paid training and certifications through our Dovida Academies, with real pathways to grow your career.
Free, confidential wellbeing support for you and your family through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Support daily living by helping with personal care, meal preparation and household tasks.
Offer reliable transport and friendly company for trips like doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping and social outings.
Build strong relationships with your clients by listening, learning their life stories, and bringing variety and brightness to their week.
Share updates and observations about client wellbeing with Care Managers to keep support meaningful and relevant.
You are compassionate, patient and easy to talk to, with a real love for connecting with people from all backgrounds. You’re dependable and an open communicator, and you treat your clients the way you’d want your own family to be treated.
To thrive in this role, you will:
Live in or near Bellingen, Forster, Harrington, Kempsey, Laurieton, Taree and Wingham and be happy to travel between clients in your local area.
Hold a current Australian driver’s licence, with access to a reliable car and comprehensive insurance.
Be available to work at least one weekday (Monday to Friday). We’re looking for up to 10 hours per week, which may increase or decrease with client demand.
Have a reliable smartphone and laptop/tablet.
Hold valid Australian working rights and be willing to complete a National Police Check.
It’s not essential, but it would be wonderful if you also have:
A Certificate in Individual Support (Ageing) or a related qualification.
Lived experience caring for a family member or friend.
A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
What matters most is your kindness, reliability and willingness to learn. If you have a caring heart, we’ll provide the training and support you need.
At Dovida, we value individuality and welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures and life experiences. If you need any adjustments or support during the application process, just let us know, and we’ll be happy to help.
