Job summary

Dovida Australia is hiring dedicated care workers to support clients in the Toowoomba region. You will assist with daily living, meal prep, and transportation, while building meaningful relationships with clients in their homes and local community.

Applicants should have a Certificate in Individual Support (Ageing) or related qualification, a current Australian driver’s licence, reliable transport, and working rights. Training, travel allowances and wellbeing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Live in or near Toowoomba, Chinchilla, Dalby or Warwick and be willing to travel between clients.
• Hold a current Australian driver's licence with access to a reliable car.
• Have a reliable smartphone and a laptop/tablet.
• Hold valid Australian working rights and be willing to complete a National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living with personal care, meal prep and household tasks.
• Provide reliable transport and friendly company for doctor visits, shopping and social outings.
• Build relationships with clients by listening and engaging with their life stories.
• Share wellbeing updates with Care Managers to keep support meaningful.

What you’ll bring

You are compassionate, patient and easy to talk to, with a real love for connecting with people from all backgrounds. You’re dependable and an open communicator, and you treat your clients the way you’d want your own family to be treated.

To thrive in this role, you will:

• Live in or near Toowoomba, Chinchilla, Dalby or Warwick and be happy to travel between clients in your local area.
• Hold a current Australian driver’s licence, with access to a reliable car and comprehensive insurance.
• Have a reliable smartphone and laptop/tablet.
• Hold valid Australian working rights and be willing to complete a National Police Check.

It’s not essential, but it would be wonderful if you also have:

• A Certificate in Individual Support (Ageing) or a related qualification.
• Lived experience caring for a family member or friend.
• A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
