Job summary

Nanyima aged care community in Mackay region is looking for an experienced Personal Care Worker on a part-time and casual basis. You will deliver person-centered care, support daily living activities, mobility, hygiene, and emotional wellbeing for residents in a 51-bed setting.

Requirements include Cert III in Aged Care, NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain), and unlimited working rights in Australia.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent.
• NDIS Worker Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Unlimited working rights in Australia.
• Experience delivering personal care in aged care.
• Ability to provide person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Care and services delivered per the Care Plan.
• Personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming and continence.
• Mobility support using aids and falls prevention.
• Assistance with eating and staying hydrated, considering dietary needs.

Your Role

We are looking for an experiences and passionate Personal Care Worker working Part-Time and Casual. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive resident experience by providing a person-centered approach to care. You will foster a collaborative approach in supporting our residents with all aspects of their daily needs and emotional wellbeing, essentially creating what we believe will enable older people to live their best lives.

Duties Include

• Care and services are delivered in accordance with the agreed Care Plan.
• Personal care, including but not limited to: Personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral and dental care and continence care.
• Mobility, including using aids and falls prevention.
• Eating and drinking, including awareness of special dietary requirements.
• Basic skin care including repositioning and application of skin creams.

To be successful you will need
