Job summary

PresCare in Maryborough, QLD is seeking a Personal Care Worker to provide person-centred care and support residents to live their best lives in our Yaralla Place community.

You will deliver care per Care Plan, assist with daily activities, mobility, nutrition, and hygiene, while fostering dignity and wellbeing and working with a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent; mandatory.
• NDIS Worker Clearance; mandatory.
• Valid working rights in Australia; mandatory.
• Experience in providing personal care in aged care settings.
• Commitment to person-centred care; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and services per the agreed Care Plan.
• Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, continence.
• Support mobility using aids and falls prevention measures.
• Assist with eating and dietary requirements.
• Provide basic skin care and repositioning as needed.

Yaralla Place:Our Yaralla Place community is set in the heart of our well preserved colonial architectural town of Maryborough. Our 96 bed home is divided into smaller households that mirror the look and rhythm of home with vast communal areas where our residents can enjoy their own homestyle lounge, dining and kitchen areas with a private backyard for their established gardens and veggie patches.
Your Role:As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive resident experience in providing a person-centred approach to care. You will foster a collaborative approach in supporting our residents with all aspects of their daily needs and emotional wellbeing, essentially creating what we believe will enable older people to live their best lives.
Duties Include:

• Care and services are delivered in accordance with the agreed Care Plan.
• Personal care, including but not limited to: Personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral and dental care and continence care.
• Mobility, including using aids and falls prevention.
• Eating and drinking, including awareness of special dietary requirements.
• Basic skin care including repositioning and application of skin creams.

To be successful you will need:

• A Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent (or currently studying)- MANDATORY
• NDIS Worker Clearance -MANDATORYhttps://workerscreening.dsdsatsip.qld.gov.au/
• Valid working rights in Australia -MANDATORY
• Experience in providing personal care in an aged care setting
• A passion for delivering a person-centred approach to care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards

Employment Details:

• Employment type: Permanent
• Hours: Full-time - 76 hours per fortnight
• Hourly rates: $32.61 to $36.23 based on experience + Super + NFP salary packaging + Allowances
• Location: Maryborough QLD
