Job summary

Thompson Health Care’s Tarragal House on the NSW Central Coast is hiring casual Personal Care Workers to join a supportive team at 107 Karalta Road, Erina NSW 2250. You will provide compassionate personal care, help with daily living activities and document care while working various shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience as a personal care worker.
• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality personal care as per the Resident Care Plan.
• Assist with showering, grooming, dressing and toileting.
• Support mobility, transfers and daily living activities.
• Assist with meals, hydration and nutrition.
• Accurately document care and report changes to the team.
• Communicate with Registered Nurses and clinical staff.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment for residents and families.

Key Responsibilities

Provide quality care according to the current Resident Care Plan to meet the individuals needs and enhance quality of life.

Assist with personal care including showering, grooming, dressing and toileting

Support residents with mobility, transfers and daily living activities

Assist with meals, hydration and nutritional support

Accurately document care provided and report any changes in condition

Communicate effectively with Registered Nurses and the broader clinical team

Promote a positive and inclusive environment for residents and families

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

At least 1 - 2 years experience as a personal care worker (desirable).

Have Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care (desirable).

Demonstratesexcellence in customer service and care

Hasan interest and passion in working with the elderly

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A reliable, compassionate and professional approach
