Job summary

Bolton Clarke Farnorha home in Westcourt, Cairns, is seeking a Personal Care Worker for night shifts. You will assist residents with daily living, promote independence and dignity, and document care activities in a supportive, resident-centered environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Individual Support & Ageing, with experience in aged care preferred. Valid Australian work rights required; police/NDIS checks completed prior to starting.

Qualifications

Certificate III in Individual Support & Ageing (or equivalent) is required.
Experience in Aged Care highly regarded.
Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc).
Prior to commencement - complete a National Police Check and or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

To provide high quality, safe, and timely contemporary personal care; assisting with the functions of daily living according to the individual needs of residents.
Support and care for residents as they age and assisting them to maintain their independence and live with dignity, self-determination and comfort.
Assist the resident with self-care needs, safe mobility and transfers, and complete documentation.

The Role

As aPersonal Care Worker,you’ll provide assistance to our residents, ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their wellbeing, independence, interests and choices.This is a night shift specific Personal Care Worker opening.
