Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support & Ageing (or equivalent) required.
• Experience in Aged Care highly regarded.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Check prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, safe personal care to residents.
• Assist with daily living activities and support independence and dignity.
• Assist residents with self-care, mobility and transfers; complete documentation.

Role

As aPersonal Care Worker,you’ll provide assistance to our residents, ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their wellbeing, independence, interests and choices. This is a night shift specific Personal Care Worker opening. The key focus of the role will be to: To provide high quality, safe, and timely contemporary personal care; assisting with the functions of daily living according to the individual needs of residents. Support and care for residents as they age and assisting them to maintain their independence and live with dignity, self-determination and comfort. Assist the resident with self-care needs, safe mobility and transfers, and complete documentation. Join a caring community with opportunities to progress your career in nursing or leadership. About this location: Our beautiful Bolton Clarke Farnorha home is centrally located in a quiet pocket of Westcourt in Cairns in the tropical Far North. The community provides high-quality aged care in a friendly, secure and comfortable residential environment.

Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support & Ageing (or equivalent)
• Experience in Aged Care highly regarded
• Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
• Prior to commencement - complete a National Police Check and or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)
