Job summary

365 Care is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to assist a client in Blackheath, NSW. You will bring experience with Acquired Brain Injuries and schizophrenia, with a focus on Monday to Friday and helping the client stay independent.

The role requires assertiveness, calmness under pressure, and strong listening skills to promote independence and engagement in daily life.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWCC are required.
• First Aid and CPR are required.
• Valid driver's license and your own insured car are required.
• Willingness to complete client-specific training before you begin.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients in the community to partake in activities they enjoy.
• Provide transport and mobility assistance.
• Assist with light cleaning around the home when needed.
• Support with medication management as required.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to support one of our clients in Blackheath.

You’ll bring your experience and knowledge in Acquired Brain Injuries, schizophrenia & supporting Monday to Friday.

In this role, you’ll need to be assertive and calm under pressure, while also being encouraging and understanding. A strong listener who is able to prompt and promote independence and engagement, you’ll be a key part of helping them live an independent and fulfilling life.

No two days are the same! Your support might look like:

• Getting out into the community to do activities the clients enjoy
• Providing transport and mobility assistance
• Helping out with a few light cleaning jobs around the home when needed
• Assist with medication management

• Willingness to complete all client-specific training before you begin (we’ll guide you through it)
