Thrive365 is recruiting Disability Support Workers to join our Blacktown, Pendle Hill and Parramatta team ASAP. You will support participants under NDIS with personalised care and community access.

The role involves personal care, complex medical tasks, documentation and driving a company van. We value respectful, professional conduct and safe practices.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR (annual) is required.
• National Police Check (less than 6 months old) or willingness to obtain.
• Current Australian Drivers License is required.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
• Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written skills are essential.
• Current First Aid Level 2 Certificate is required.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.

Responsabilités

• Provide complex personal care support, including wound management and bowel/continence care.
• Perform manual handling and assist with transfers and mobility.
• Assist with meals, cleaning, laundry and infection-control tasks.
• Drive company van to support community access for participants.
• Complete accurate data entry and documentation of care.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Disability Support Worker for Blacktown and Pendle Hill

We are currently recruiting exceptional Disability Support workers to join our Blacktown, Pendle Hill and Parramatta team ASAP!

The position would be ideal for people with an interest to work with individuals who have a range of disabilities.

Duties may include all aspects of personal care including:

• Complex care - such as - Wound Management, peg feeding, catheter management and more.
• Manual handling including hoist transfers – manual, electric / assisted standing
• Bowel and continence support
• Medication assistance
• Driving company van to take participants for community access
• Data entry and documentation

Personal care

• assisting with showering, bathing, dressing and grooming;
• toileting and continence support;
• changing continence aids and assisting with personal hygiene;
• cleaning and managing urine, faeces, vomit and other bodily fluids;
• assisting participants with menstrual and other personal hygiene needs;
• assisting with transfers, mobility and positioning;
• completing associated cleaning, laundry and infection-control tasks; and
• providing other personal care and daily living supports within the worker's training, competency and scope of role.

Applicants must be comfortable undertaking these duties respectfully and professionally and must be able to perform the inherent requirements of the position safely, with reasonable adjustments where applicable.

Other duties include:

• Light domestic support and household tasks
• Assistance or preparation of meals

• Medical and Allied health appointments

The successful candidate will have:

• Maximum availability and willingness to do different range of shifts, Morning & afternoon
• Demonstrated manual handling experience
• Demonstrated experience with personal care
• Demonstrated experience driving large vans
• Experience in working with people with high medical needs and intellectual disabilities
• The ability to develop strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders

Mandatory Requirements include:

• Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent
• Current CPR (annual)
• National Police Children Check (less than 6 months old or willingness to obtain)
• Current Australian Drivers License
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
• Excellent Verbal and written skills
• Current First Aid level 2 Certificate
• Current CPR
• Current Australian Driver's License
• Unrestricted working rights
• Industry experience will be highly regarded.
