Job summary

Respect Riverside Gardens in Nambucca Heads, NSW seeks a compassionate Part-Time Personal Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will work with Registered Nurses and the care team to support dignity, independence and wellbeing in residents.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aged care, disability support, or similar care role is desirable.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain; NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling practices.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities.
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
• Encourage participation in activities and promote independence.

About The Role

As a Part-Time Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to our residents.

Working alongside Registered Nurses and the broader care team, you'll help residents maintain their dignity, independence, comfort, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance

We're looking for someone who is caring, reliable, and passionate about supporting older people.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care, or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar care role (desirable)
• A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to older people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive and team-oriented approach
• Availability to work a variety of shifts across weekdays and weekends
• Understanding of person-centered care practices
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
