Job summary

Respect Riverside Gardens in Nambucca Heads, NSW, is seeking a caring Part-Time Personal Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. Join a not-for-profit aged care team that values dignity, independence, and everyday wellbeing, with regular shifts and supportive colleagues.

You'll work alongside registered nurses and the care team to support mobility, daily living activities, and meaningful resident engagement.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar care role (desirable).
• A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to older people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive and team-oriented approach.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts across weekdays and weekends.
• Understanding of person-centred care practices.
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling practices.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities.
• Build positive and meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and multidisciplinary team members.
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and social engagement.
• Promote independence, choice, and quality of life.

About the Role

As a Part-Time Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to our residents.
