Job summary

Australian Unity Limited in Mornington, Victoria, seeks a Care Companion to support residents in our Residential Communities. You will provide personal care, companionship, and assist with activities that promote wellbeing.

You will work within our Better Together social model of ageing well, in one location with a continuum of care options. The role emphasizes empathy, safety, and building relationships with residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in aged care or disability support are required or strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated empathy and ability to build trusting relationships with residents and families.
• Ability to follow care plans, safety guidelines and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living assistance to residents.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families and team members.
• Adhere to health and safety policies to ensure resident and staff safety.
• Deliver meaningful activities and companionship to support wellbeing.

Your New Role

As a Care Companion you will provide care and support that enhances our resident's wellbeing, enabling them to live with dignity and empowerment.

You will enjoy working within our Better Together® social model of ageing well, which offers a continuum of care and support services for our Residents, within a range of accommodation options in one location.

Does this sound like you?

• A truly customer‑centric approach with the passion to deliver real 'care' to residents
• Relevant qualifications eg: Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability
• Willing to obtain an NDIS Clearance Check if successful
• Fully vaccinated for Influenza and COVID 19 (2 Doses)
