Comlink Australia seeks compassionate Personal Care Assistants to deliver high-quality in-home care in Melbourne. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, and social engagement while respecting client dignity and independence.

This role offers flexible hours within a values-driven, not-for-profit setting, with training, parental leave, salary packaging, and supportive supervision to help you grow professionally.

About the roles

We are seeking applications from individuals who are committed to ensuring the highest possible standard of in-home care for our valued clients.

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will be:

• Providing personal care and assistance with hygiene, toileting, bathing, grooming and other ADL activities
• Assisting clients with mobility and transfers, along with other activities to help maintain an independent lifestyle (kilometre-reimbursement offered)
• Assisting clients with general housekeeping duties i.e. cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, dusting as prescribed in the clients’ care plans
• Providing social support activities which may include driving clients to appointments and assorted locations
• Recognising and responding to change in a client's condition, as well as documenting and communicating this information as required
• Ensuring clients are treated with dignity and respect and supported to exercise choice and independence

This position is best suited to someone who has:

• Minimum Certificate III qualification i.e. Individual Support, Aged Care, Community Services
• Preferably 12 months experience working in the Home Care sector, particularly with Home Care Packages and CHSP funded care services
• Willingness to embrace domestic / housekeeping duties as part of your role. It is preferable for you to have experience in professional cleaning duties, but not mandatory
• Genuine empathy with elderly clients and a passion to work within the community service industry
• Understanding of specialised service delivery within diverse groups, specifically Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, Veterans, Disability, Mental Health, LGBTI+ and Homelessness.
