Job summary

Claro in Canberra is seeking a compassionate support worker to assist people with complex needs in daily living, mobility, and health tasks while fostering independence and meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• Person-centered, warm, patient and genuinely caring.
• Interest or experience in complex care, disability and health nuances.
• Great communicator who listens, reads cues and adapts to styles.

Responsibilities

• Person-centered planning: chat with client and family to understand goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks and devices.
• Medical supports: monitor changes, follow plans, liaise with care team.
• Social time and participation: create meaning, fun and community access.
• Autonomy and advocacy: support decision-making and independence.
• Cultural humility: respect backgrounds, beliefs and ways of being.
