Job summary

Holcim Australia and New Zealand invites applications for a Quarry Manager based at Moriac Quarry, Victoria. You will oversee all on-site operations, focusing on people, plant and fleet to achieve safety, environmental and financial targets while delivering excellent customer service.

As health, safety and environmental lead you will manage budgeting, production targets, quality compliance, sand washing, tailings, maintenance, stockpiling and load out, and drive quarry development.

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Extractive Industries (Mining/Geology) or similar, with Shot Firers ticket desirable.
• Strong leadership with a safety-focused approach and knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
• Experience in quarry management and budgeting with P&L management.
• Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to improve productivity and costs.
• Understand chain of responsibility and maintain a customer-focused approach with sales/technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Hold direct responsibility for all on-site quarry operations, maximizing people, plant and fleet performance to meet safety, environmental and financial targets.
• Budgeting, production targets, customer and community relations, quality compliance, sand washing and processing, tailings management, maintenance, stockpiling, load out and quarry development.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to provide efficient production processes in a safety-focused environment and develop regional strategies with other sites.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive culture and drive continuous improvement to achieve growth for the region.
• Deliver strategic operational goals and own performance improvements in collaboration with the broader Holcim network.
