Job summary

Holcim Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Quarry Team Leader to build and develop a motivated production team that achieves safety, environmental and financial targets. You will ensure quarry pit development is cost-effective with a focus on continuous improvement and that customer, safety and environmental requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Surface Extraction Operations is required.
• 5 years in a quarry role with Drill & Blast experience and supervising a team.
• Intermediate Google Suite and computer/tablet skills.
• Teamwork-focused culture and reward systems encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Manage pit operations and lead the Pit Team.
• Support SHE policy implementation with management.
• Promote safe systems of work and culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environment laws and inductions.
• Assist Quarry Manager to achieve production targets.
• Optimize Drill & Blast and Load & Haul within budget.
• Maintain mobile plant condition and efficiency.
• Ensure environmental permits and company policies are followed.
• Assist in environmental plans.
• Maintain training and competency plans for pit staff.
