Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Quarry Manager for the Moama Sand operation in Australia. This hands-on leadership role covers safety, production, maintenance, and customer relations, with accountability for budget and P&L.

You will mentor a small team and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strong client and community engagement. The role requires experience in quarry or heavy industrial operations, a willingness to participate in plant operation, and a current driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Experienced in quarry/mining heavy industrial operations.
• Experience leading small operational teams in a hands-on environment.
• Willing to work hands-on with plant operation and production activities.
• Proven experience managing budgets, KPIs and financial performance.
• Qualifications in Quarry Management or related discipline desirable.
• Current Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small, high-performing team.
• Operate mobile plant and assist in processing plant as required.
• Manage quarry operations including production, processing, maintenance and logistics.
• Deliver targets through planning, resource management and continuous improvement.
• Oversee financial performance, budgets, forecasting and P&L accountability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and regulations.
• Build relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and regulators.
• Identify sales opportunities to support business growth.
