Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Group is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead the Moama Sand operation. You will own the safe, efficient, and profitable performance of the site, mentoring a small team and actively participating in plant operations.

You will identify sales opportunities and support growth by providing leads to the Territory Sales Manager. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong safety focus, and a track record of delivering operational targets with financial accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing small operational teams in a hands-on environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and financial performance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small, high-performing team.
• Operate mobile plant and run processing plant as required.
• Manage quarry operations: production, processing, maintenance, and logistics.
• Deliver targets via planning, resource management, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee site finances: budgets, cost control, forecasts, P&L accountability.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
