Job summary

Holcim Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Quarry Manager to be based at Moriac Quarry, Victoria. You will hold direct responsibility for all operations, focusing on people, plant and fleet performance while meeting safety, environmental and financial targets and maintaining customer service standards.

As a leader of Health, Safety and the Environment you will manage budgeting, production targets, community relations and quality compliance.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Extractive Industries or relevant tertiary qualifications (Mining, Geology, construction, or similar) and a Shot Firers ticket are desirable.
  • Experience in safety orientated leadership and a working knowledge of Safety Management Systems, relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Experience in a similar quarry management role.
  • A thorough understanding of Quarry development.
  • Experience in budgeting & managing a P&L.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplined environment to deliver productivity and cost improvements.
  • Have a strong customer focus and be able to work well with sales and technical teams to deliver key business objectives.
  • Understand Chain of Responsibility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operations at Moriac Quarry, focusing on safety, environment and financial targets.
  • Lead budgeting, production targets, customer and community relations, quality compliance, sand washing and processing, tailings management, maintenance, stockpiling and load out.
  • Direct a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient production and collaborate with other operations to meet regional goals.
  • Develop strategies to deliver operational goals for the region.

The Holcim Aggregates team has a superb opportunity for a Quarry Manager to be based atMoriac Quarry, Victoria.

In this key role you will hold direct responsibility for all aspects of operations at the quarry, focussing on maximising the performance of people, plant, and fleet to achieve company safety, environmental and financial targets whilst delivering required customer service standards and performance outcomes.

As a leader of Health, Safety and the Environment you will also be accountable for budgeting and production targets, customer and community relations, quality compliance, sand washing and processing, tailings management, maintenance, stockpiling, load out, and quarry development. You will lead a multidisciplinary team with the aim of providing an efficient and effective production process in a safety focused environment and you will work closely with other operations in the business to develop strategies and deliver operational goals for the region.

This leadership role is perfect for someone looking to take ownership of a large operation and help it to achieve the growth required for the next stage of its operation.
